We almost always put a clear spray over our projects as our finishing step.  The spray puts a protectant over your projects to keep the paper from getting scuffed easily and the paint from getting scratched or chipped easily.

It also puts a nice shiny finish to really make the colors deeper and richer.  If you want it extra shiny, use the satin clear cover.  We generally use matte clear.

Here, we’ve got our project all done and are ready to spray it with this matte clear finish.

Following all safety precautions on the product, we spray lightly over the project.  Holding the can about 10-12” away, we quickly spray from 4 different angles.  Bottom, top, and both sides.  This is 4 passes, so make sure to not put on too much!

Here are several side by side comparisons so you can see the effect the spray will have on your project.
